Bourjois Paris - Rouge glamour gift set.

At the moment boots are doing a special offer, if you spend £15 or more you get the rouge glamour gift set for free. It's lovely as a gift or a nice treat for yourself.

The gift set contains smoky stories quad eyeshadow in the shade 06 upside brown, the volume glamour max holidays mascara in the colour ultra black, rouge edition velvet liquid lipstick in the shade hot pepper and so laque ultra shine nail polish in the colour rouge escarpin. Together these products cost over £25 such a bargain, specially if you were buying Bourjois Paris makeup anyway. The Healthy mix serum is my go to foundation so I stocked up on it and got the gift set for free.

This set is perfect for the festive season with glittery eyeshadow, red lipstick and red nail polish.

The mascara is one of the best mascaras I've ever used it makes my lashes look so long and dark. I would defiantly buy it again.

The eyeshadows goes on beautifully and on the box there's a guide on how to apply them which is handy if your quite sure.

The nail polish is a beautiful festive red and has a lovely shiny finish. I wouldn't say it's massively long lasting but I don't find my nail varnish lasts unless it's gelish.

The lipstick again is a beautiful festive colour but I wish it wasn't Matt. I just don't get on with Matt lispticks. I suffer with dry lips and Matt lispticks don't apply well to them. If you like Matt lispticks then don't be discouraged.

Overall I love this gift set. It's such good value for money. Bourjois Paris are sneaky I may have got it free this time but I will defiantly be repurchasing some of the products, products I would have never gone out to buy before.

November favourites

I'm gunna be sharing with you what I've loved this month, my hair and beauty favourites and a few random favourites too.

I've really been loving Jimmy's Choo's blossom perfume. The scent is beautiful and really long lasting. It has a sweet and floral scent and is quite similar to the original Jimmy Choo perfume that I also adore. Not only does the perfume smell Devine the bottle is so pretty, it graduates from
Dark to light pink and looks lovely on my dressing table.

Another favourite of mine is Paw Paw moisturising balm it's brilliant for dry hands and lips. I really suffer from dry lips in the winter and don't find anything other than paw paw works long term. I find it really restores moisture into my dry and cracked lips.

A makeup favourite of mine this month is Arbonne's lipstick in the colour copper. It's a brown coloured lipstick with a hint of glitter. I'm not usually a fan of glittery lipsticks but it's quite subtle and perfect for the festive season.

A couple of my random favourites this month have to be the app restaurant story 2. You basically run your own restaurant, it's a lot of fun and rather addictive. My other random
Favourite is adult colouring books, I've always loved colouring and I find it so therapeutic.

Hair and beauty travel essentials.

I'm off to Potters resort for a weekend with my other half and I thought I'd share with you what beauty travel essentials I will be taking with me. I thought this might be a useful post as it could be used as a check list or give you some ideas of what to take with you if your toiletry bag is looking a bit sparse. If you haven't heard of potters resort it's an all inclusive holiday resort in Hopton, England.

I will warn you I am an overpacker and bring more than I need as I'd rather have it and not need it than not have it and need it. You might find not all products I mention are essential for you.

I bring my usual skin care products. if your interested in my everyday skin care routine I've done a post previously going in the detail.

I always bring a body butter such as soap and glory's sugar crush and Johnson's baby oil as the spas and swimming pool dries my skin out.

I bring my usual shampoo and conditioner and a deep conditioner such as a Aussie 3 minute miracle pouch as like my skin, my hair gets dried out in the pool. I also bring an elvive hair anti frizz serum to apply to my hair when it's damp for added moisture.

I end up with many miniature shower gels and creams from Christmas and my birthday. If I'm just away for the weekend I tend to take those with me as there the perfect size when your for a couple of nights.  The one I'm taking with me this time is soap and glory's clean on me. you can purchase various mini products in boots or superdrug.

A few random bits I bring with me are Vaseline and paw paw which are great for dry lips and hands, nail polish and soap and glory's heal genius.

I obviously bring the real essentials like toothpaste etc but I won't bore you those too much.

Those are my holiday essentials for when I'm holidaying in the uk. if your interested what I take with me when I go abroad please comment below!

MUA VS Essie

After I did my last post it left me wanting to buy more nail polish ( a shocker i know). After talking about the Higher end drug store polishes and salon polishes I thought I'd try something a bit more affordable, I'm forever looking for those hidden gems in Superdrug or Boots.

I came across MUA's nail polishes, the packaging is almost identical to Essie the only difference is MUA's polishes are slightly smaller. There only a pound each and they were 3 for 2  so I got three polishes for two pounds! For a pound each I'm so Impressed. The polish went on lovely and I've had it on for 2 days and it's yet to chip. I didn't have high hopes as the polish was so cheap but I was so Impressed.

Some of the colours were very close to colour of the Essie polishes. There's Great dupes at such a low price. For example MUAs lavender is very similar to Essie's Fiji.

Overall their great polishes if your trying to build a collection on a budget or if your new to nail art and don't want to spend a fortune.  I'm defiantly going to purchase more MUA polishes ( not that I need anymore nail polish haha)

Let's talk nail polish

Painting my nails is something I find really therapeutic and I love the finish effect. Don't get me wrong I love getting my nails done professionally whether it be gels or acrylics but doing my own is the second best thing.

I have quite a collection of polishes after a recent clear out I've got around 80 polishes and I have tried a lot of different brands in my time. So I thought I'd share with you which nail polishes I like the most.

Barrym nail polishes make up a big part of my collection. Barrym have a huge range of colours and types of nail polish. These include Matt, crackle affect and Gelly shine. You really can find the colour to match any outfit. They retail at around £3.99 which is such a bargain. My only con with Barrym is there not very long lasting they chip quite easily with or without a top coat. My favorite polishes by Barrym include Mushroom, berry ice cream and shocking pink.

Another brand I love is Essie. Again Essie have a large range of colours but I also love this brush on Essie nail polishes. The brush is quite large and so easy to paint with my nails always come out so neat when I've used Essie polishes. Essie retail at around £7.99 slightly more than Barrym but personally I think the formula and brush of Essie polishes are better quality than Barrym and worth the bit extra. My favouite Essie polishes include Bikini so teeny, knockout pout and Berry Naughty

whatever paint you are using you need a decent top and base coat. My favorite top and base coat are by OPI which is a salon used brand. There Slightly more expensive than the drugstore brands i have mentioned but if you want a professional finish there defiantly the polishes to use.

There's a few of my favorite polishes please comment and tell me yours

"Sex bomb" Lush bath bomb review

I'm a massive lush fan, partially there bath bombs. If you haven't tried lush bath bombs are like no other. There made with natural sources. They don't just fizz and disappear like regular bath bombs they can change your bath water numerous colours and have Various surprises inside them such as flower petals, glitter and sequins. There just beautiful and such a lovely bath time treat.

I try to buy different bath bombs each time I go to lush, I picked up sex bomb on my last visit and wow I would defiantly buy it again. The name might be off putting or might lure you in but it didn't really bother me.

The bath bomb it self is pink and purple with a rose in the middle, When placed in the bath it turns the water bright pink and the petals disperse into the water. the scent is very floral and is just gorgeous!

The sex bomb bath bomb retails at £3.50 It's such a lovely treat and I'd rather have one lush bath bomb than a cheap set of them.

I absolutely love lush bath bombs, I can't wait to try more especially the Christmas range.

Arbonne Makeup review

This is second in the series of my Arbonne reviews. Today I'm going to reviewing some of there cosmetics in there Christmas line.  I'm going to be reviewing the "Kiss at midnight lip conditioner trio", the "Sugar plum baked eyeshadow palette" and the "Its a long story royal purple mascara". These products are perfect for the festive season whether it be as a gift or as a treat to yourself. I would say other than the lip glosses they are most suited for festive parties and evening events depending on how dramatic you go with your everyday look.

It's a long story mascara is a vibrant purple mascara and if I'm completely honest I'm not a fan of coloured mascaras. Don't get me wrong the mascara itself is brilliant. The wand gets to every lash and makes my lashes look voluminous, long and in black I'd buy it again In flash. Overall if your a fan of coloured mascaras or fancy a change I would highly recommend it. The mascara retails at £27 slightly more than I would usually pay for a mascara but the quality of the mascara is amazing and worth paying extra for.

The baked eyeshadow palette comes in a beautiful purple box and contains 4 shadows. The shades included are Icing, Gingersnap, Plumberry and Ganache. There all very pigmented and can be applied with a damp brush to give an even more intense colour. They apply like a dream and are very Long lasting. The palette itself is gorgeous and would make a lovely gift or is simply great for yourself for the Christmas and New Years parties ahead.

The Kiss at midnight lip conditioner trio comes with 3 lip conditioner's they come in the shades peach, pink and berry. My favourite was the pink. I'm someone who really suffers with dry chapped lips and these lip glosses are perfect to rescue them. The gloss is so moisturising without being sticky or greasy. This lip conditioner set retails at £30.00 which works out at £10.00 each which for an Arbonne product is really reasonable. The one downside is that the lip glosses arnt sold separately but there are other very similar shades available.

Overall the Arbonne Festive cosmetics were of lovely quality and I really enjoyed using them.

They're real tinted primer review.

Many of you probably saw Elle magazine was giving away Benefit's "they're real tinted primer" and I couldn't resist to pick one up. The they're real mascara is easily my all time favourite mascara and I had high hopes for the lash primer.

The wand is very similar to the mascara and evenly coats each lash even the tiny ones. The primer gave a lovely base for my mascara and could be used under any mascara but for the best finish with they're real. If you were going for a natural look the primer could even be used on it own as its brown tinted.

I really like that the lash primer is tinted so you don't have to over do the mascara. I'm sure you've all have tried those 2 step mascaras back in the day which left your lashes so white and resembling an ice queen or something out of frozen and it took coats and coats of the mascara to cover it over. Thank goodness lash primer has evolved.

Overall I was really Impressed with the primer it made the they're real mascara work even better and I didn't think that was possible! I would definitely buy again!

Arbonne magical minis festive stocking review.

Arbonne is a very unique Brand as all the products are natural and vegan which these days is pretty hard to find. Arbonne states there products are pure, safe and beneficial which in my opinion is everything you would want in a product. I'm going to be doing a series of reviews on this brand and today I'm going to be reviewing their "magical minis festive stocking".

To start the stocking itself that the products Come in is lovely quality and reusable unlike many Christmas gift sets which leave you with unwanted boxes and paper. Inside the stocking there are 8 products, 4 shower gels, a body lotion, a hand lotion, a foot cream and a foot scrub. It's a really lovely gift for someone who hasn't tried Arbonne before it gives them a little bit of everything to try out.

The shower gels Come in the 4 scents. The scents include Pineapple Papaya which is so fruity and reminds me of pina coladas and holidays, Fig Blossom which I Find rich and warming perfect for a winters night, Ginger citrus which is fresh and crisp lovely to wake you up with in the morning and Mandarin pomegranate which you can tell by the name has a very festive scent. All of the shower gels are very moisturizing and smell Divine.

The footscrub, foot cream and the hand cream are a similar scent, Pampermint and Merri mint. I'm not usually a fan of mint scented products it just reminds be of toothpaste but both of these are fresh but sweet at the same time, Pampermint has a slightly stronger scent but overall both are really lovely and both well lasting scents. The hand cream absorbs quickly with no greasy residue leaving my hands very moisturised.  The foot scrub and cream work well together to revive the driest of feet or just are really nice if you fancy giving your feet a pamper.

Last but not least the body lotion, the body lotion is the same scent as one of the shower gels Pineapple Papaya. It's probably my favourite scent out of the four. The shower gel complements the body lotion and left my skin moisturized and smelling lovely. It's rich and a little goes a long way.

Overall this is really lovely gift or treat for yourself and is very good value at £32. Arbonne isn't a very well known brand and isn't available is many countries but it is expanding. In my opinion Arbonne deserves more recognition than it gets. Keep an eye out for next post for a review on some of the cosmetics I tried by Arbonne.

My everyday skincare routine

My everyday skin care is pretty simple but works really well for me. My skin isn't really dry or oily but if I had to to go one way or another I would say it was dry. I use the same routine both in the morning and the evening I like to keep it easy. All the products I use are Nivea. I've used higher end brands such as Liz Earle and Clinique but find these work best for me and its a bonus that there so affordable. Boots are currently doing 2 for £5 on Nivea essentials which include the cleanser and toner i use.

First I use Nivea's soothing cleansing moose, I use this twice to make sure all my makeup is off, I use cotton wool pads to do this. My next step is to use Nivea refreshing toner and massage that onto my face and neck using a cotton wool pad. My 3rd step is the moisturise using Nivea soft and I finish with the Nivea hydro care lipbalm.

This routine leaves my skin feeling refreshed, soft and gives a lovely base for my makeup. I have reviewed the cleansing moose and Nivea soft on my Nivea review post feel free to check it out.

The only variation to my skin care routine is once or twice a week whem I feel like pampering myself I use soap and glory's scrub your nose in it which can be used as a scrub or a mask. This product is in my pamper night post feel free to check in it out.

Overall I'm happy with my skin routine don't intend to change it up too much for the time being.

Rimmel Stay Matte powder Review

Without doubt Rimmel stay matte powder is defiantly a staple product in my makeup bag. This powder comes in a a variety of colours including transparent. I personally prefer transparent powder as I'm pale and others I have used have left me orange. Rimmel Stay matte powder has everything I'd want in a powder, stops shine, sets makeup and gives a flawless finish. It also gives a good coverage without being to cakey or drying. Rimmel stay matte powder retails at around £3.99 which at under a fiver is great value and I think the quality is up there with the higher end brands. I couldn't recommend this stay matte powder by Rimmel more, there's not many products That stay in my makeup bag for long I like to chop and change but the stay matte powder has been in there since my late teens.

The only fault I could find with Rimmel stay Matt powder is the packaging it's looks cheap and doesn't protect the powder much I have been known to smash it before. Overall it's a lower end drug store product and for the money I guess it's expected. It's what's inside that counts and all the lark right?

(The writing rubbed off the packaging, you can see this powder is well loved)

Nivea Review!

Nivea is a brand both my mum and my nan both use and it was one of the first brands I tried and I've never looked back. The products are such good quality and good value for money. There's a few Nivea products I really love and use daily they are Nivea soft, Nivea cashmere moments and Nivea soothing facial moose.

Nivea Soft is a real all purpose moisturiser can be used on your face, hands or even feet. It's very moisturising without being greasy. Like most Nivea products it has such a lovely fresh scent. I wouldn't use anything else on my face, I think with skincare sometimes your best to go back to basics. Nivea soft comes in either a pot or a tube, the tube is great for when your on the go. Nivea soft retails at the most of £5.00 for a large pot which is really good value for money.

Nivea Cashmere moments is one of my all time favourite shower gel/creams it leaves my skin like silk and smells Devine. Unlike many shower gels it really foams and a little goes a long way. In my opinion Nivea cashmere moments is up there with the higher end shower gels like soap and glory's sugar crush but Nivea cashmere moments retails at £2-£3 so it's a fraction of the price.

Nivea soothing facial moose is so refreshing and really gets rid of all the makeup I'm wearing even water proof mascara.  Nivea soothing facial moose leaves my skin feeling so soft and radiant . It comes in 2 difference types for either dry/sensitive skin or normal/combination skin so there's one for everyone. I love the moose consistency to the Nivea facial moose apposed to the traditional cream cleanser it leaves me face feeling so clean. Nivea soothing facial moose retails at around £5.00 and a little goes a long way.

I overall love Nivea as a brand and can't wait to try out more of there products.

Lets talk hand cream

I used waitress and my hands were always wet and all the chemicals in the cleaning products we used left my hands so dry and sore. I tried so many types of hand cream and not many lived up to my expectations apart the ones i'm going to tell you about now. With the the winter coming it can leave many of you with dry and cracked skin on your hands so i thought this was a good topic to talk about. The hand creams are i am going to be talking about today are "Endless glove" and "hand food" which are both by Soap and glory ( you might see a pattern in my blogs soap and glory is one of my favorite brands) and Hemp hand protector by the body shop.

Both soap and glory hand creams are very similar they smell divine, they soak in nice and quickly and leave your hands richly moisturized but not Greasy. One difference between them is Endless glove is slightly thicker and can used as a hand mask and well as a hand cream. Just before bed i pop a thick layer of cream on my hands. pop over them cotton gloves and leave them till the morning and i wake up with silky hands. Endless glove retails at £6.00 and hand food at £5.50 which isn't the cheapest hand cream but i think you get what you pay for. Soap and Glory do tester/travel size bottles for many of the products including there hand creams so you can try them out for as little at £3.00. Overall there both great hand creams,Soap and Glory in my opinion is a great quality brand and i'm yet to be disappointed.

The Hemp Hand protector is a thick intense moisturizing cream which i think can restore the driest of hands as it states it's " for very dry skin" .With this product a little goes a long way, its very moisturizing and also protects you hands from future damage. My only con with this product is can be quite greasy if you use too much and it does take a while to soak in but with something this intensive i think it is bound to have that consistency. This product retails at £5.00 for 30ml or £11.00 for 100ml which i think is well priced considering how long it lasts and i expect to pay a little bit more for a body shop product.

Long lasting lipsticks

I was forever trying to find a lipstick that lasted on my lips for more than 2 seconds ( slight exaggeration) I just don't have the time or effort to keep re applying through out the day. I'm sure there's others of you out there that feel the same! I then came across two lispticks which were super long lasting. I could still see them clearly on my lips all day after meals and drinking it's pretty amazing. The first lipstick i found was Rimmel London "provocalips" i have them in the shade 110 dare to pink and 310 little minx and the second lipstick i found was  Maybelline "super stay 24 color" i have them in the shade 185 rose dust and 190 infinite petal. They both consist of a liquid lipstick and a lock and shine gloss. Of course no product is perfect and im going to give you the pro's and con's for both lipsticks.

Rimmel provocalips come in very beautiful bold colours which is both a curse and a blessing, as far as i've seen the colours available are more summery suited than autumnal. provocalips are so long lasting i struggle to get it off in the evening, perfect for a night out or a working day. Super stay 24 color come in more mature darker colours which are beautiful for this time of the year and the lock and shine gloss is available separate so if you run out you a can the most of the lipstick. Both brilliant lipsticks if you have any other other long lasting lipsticks to recommend please me a comment!

from top to bottom  310 little minx, 110 dare to pink
185 rose dust and 190 infinity petal

Outfit of the day

Just a quick post, today I'm off for a spot of shopping and for afternoon tea for a friends 30th birthday. I'm wearing a tartan green and blue dress from new look with black tights and black Chelsea boots from next. I accessorised with my pandora bracelet and my Guess watch. my handbag is from Ascessorize. I'm quite safe with how I dress nothing to extravagant!

Revolution eyeshadow palette " beyond flawless" review

I've never Tried anything from the makeup brand Revolution but I've heard so much hype around it ,particularly the eye shadow palettes and my gosh i wasn't disappointed! i don't know where to start! the palette i brought is called beyond flawless which contains majorly nude and brown colours. The packaging is beautiful the gold box looks luxurious and the actual case that the eye shadow is in feels sturdy and looks like a high end product. Once you open it there a mirror inside which is the size of palette which is great if your away or on the go. Finally to the actual product, there's 32 shadows to a palette which i think is a bargain at only £8, they are are highly pigmented and apply like a dream.  I love that with the palette your not restricted to using it in the evening or just the day time. With the selection of colours you can go subtle in the day and dramatic at night if you wished to. This palette is a close favorite of mine next to the original naked palette and the revolution palette is a fraction of the price. overall i couldn't recommend it more and look forward to trying more from the brand.

Pamper night!

Usually on either a Friday night to prepare myself for the weekend or a Sunday night to prepare myself for the week ahead i love having a pamper night, who doesn't love to pamper themselves? So basically i'm going to give you an in site into my pamper night. Feel free to comment and let me know about yours!

1st - i run myself a lovely hot bath with either bubble bath, a bubble bar or a bath bomb and surround it with tea light candles or my favorite yankee candle.

Next while the bath running i do my usual skin care routine to remove my makeup, if you would like more details on my skin care routine please comment below :) But for a pamper night i usually add in a face mask to give my skin a treat the one i currently use is "scrub your nose in it" by soap and glory.

once i'm in the bath i use a body scrub focusing on my drier areas around my knees and elbows my chosen scrub is like "pulp friction" by soap and glory. I then follow by cleansing with Nivea's cashmere moments which is my favorite shower cream of all time, i would highly recommend it.

Now its time to soak, i tend to listen to music or get lost in a book.

Once i'm out the bath and dried off i use johnson's baby oil on my legs as there particularly dry and use sugar crush body butter cream on the rest of me. Then to finish i slip on my favorite pjs and paint my nails and toes.

Pamper nights are fun on your own or with friends ( minus the bath! haha) sometimes its nice to just sit back and relax! go on you deserve it!

New blog!

Hi i'm Georgia Ruby an average 22 year old, Basically I'm mad about beauty products and fashion. I wanna share my views on them with all of you! so be prepared for reviews, hauls, look books and much more!

My go to makeup products

It takes a while to find products that work for you and that you really get on with,  for example it's taken me years to find a foundation that i stick to! don't get me wrong i love trying out new products you never know what beauty treasure you might find! never the less here is my go to makeup products that never leave my makeup bag!

Bourjois health mix serum - this foundation is gel based, its great for my dry skin and leaves me with a really flawless finish. I find it applies and blends easily and for me is as good as many of the high end brands. Its a slightly more expensive drug store foundation retailing at around £10.99 but is in my opinion worth the price.

Bourjois khol and contour pencil eyeliner- This eyeliner is the only eyeliner that ive found that easily applies to the waterline and lasts all day without smudging or disappearing. Its really pigmented so i don't find i use as much as i would others and it lasts me forever! hands down the best pencil eyeliner.

Rimmel stay matt powder - This powder is pretty basic. i go for 001 transparent so i don't use it for colour, i just use to keep my makeup in place all day. It also makes my contour powder and highlighter go on like a dream! this powder retails at around £3.99 and much like the foundation is as good as many of high end brands and is a fraction on the price.

There's just a few products i adore, please let me know what your go to makeup products are i'm willing to give anything a try! x
